Holly Yashi jewelry is light, airy, whimsical and radiant. Inspired by the beauty of nature, culture and anthropology, Holly Yashi is free spirited, unique and extraordinarily artistic. Designs are fashioned from sterling silver, bronze, gold and niobium, a semi precious metal that is found in the U.S., Canada and Brazil. The niobium is treated through a process created by Holly Hosterman and Paul “Yashi” Lubitz. It is formed, cut, buffed and dipped into an electrically charged bath where it obtains its radiant, unique colors. Some pieces are finished with Swarovski crystals, semi precious stones, glass and ceramic beads, or exquisite pearls. The result is a beautiful, lightweight, hypoallergenic line that has gracefully held its charm for the last 30 years. Holly Yashi is the perfect marriage of science, art, refinement and beauty.
In 1981 in a one-car garage, Holly Hosterman, an art major and Paul “Yashi” Lubitz, an industrial technologist, merged their respective talents for what would be a one of a kind, artistic medium and a 30-year partnership. Holly Yashi is known for truly unique design as well as the materials and process they produced along the way in order to bring their wearable art to life. Holly Yashi is a beautifully inspired form of jewelry art, handmade by this dynamic duo and their team in Arcata, California.
