Culture Shock products are made by Tibetan refugees in India. Culture Shock is all about “Aid Through Fair Trade” which to them means self respect. To help achieve this goal, their artisans are paid a premium over prevailing wages. This helps their artisans afford basic health care, education and housing. The majority of Culture Shock’s artisans are women who work out of their homes which lends itself to a cottage industry and allows for a superior handcrafted product in a healthy and safe environment.
